Nike Terminator High X British Millerain

With 08 wrapping up Nike will move on from its Dunk model push. It seems like the next in line for the retro push will be the Terminator Model. These two new Terminators which come in either a Yellow/Black or Purple/Black colorway are available now at select retailers in Hong Kong. Something special about these models is the type of material used for the upper. A British Millerain fabric which functions much like Gore-Tex has been specifically chosen to craft these new pairs. We figure it’d be good use for the Winter months ahead. Good thinkin Nike.

Nike Air Max Beijing Collection

Here’s a detailed look at the up and coming Air Max Beijing Pack for this years Summer Olympics held in Beijing China. The 2008 Summer Games has definitely seen a good amount of collections and packs from various shoe companies around the world. Winning Gold is one of the most prestigious accomplishments any athlete can obtain throughout their career , achieving this honor solidifies your career as a true World Class athlete. At a time when westernization is becoming more wide spread it only makes sense for Nike and other brands to capitalize on this monumental event to gain market share by releasing Olympic themed shoes. In addition to their previously Olympic themed sneakers Nike will be releasing a special Air Max Beijing pack for the pleasures of sneakerheads around the world. To start off, Air Max’s in this pack have little bits of details that are inspired by the giant stadium built for the Olympics. The stadium which in itself is a piece of art is know as the Birds Nest, featuring towering metal beams weaving in and out from the entire top portion of the structure. Looking like a buiding before its time, the project took an immense amount of planning to be completed. Designing shoes may not be on that grand scale, but you can still notice the details that were taken to make sure that there were some references to the Birds Nest Stadium, For instance, check out the lined patterns on the Air Max ones, designed to resemble portions of the stadium, as well as the Purple Air Max 1’s which also uses a octagon shape which is said to represent the eight sides of the stadium. Other details are apparent throughout the designs, but all share 1 key similarity - the outer parts of each of the Air Max 1’s use a conventional, muted color, but once you look inside you begin to see a much brighter, vibrant color. Perhaps this can be the people that are sitting inside the stadium cheering for their countries atheletes. This collection will be available on the start of the Summer Olympic games starting August 8th at select Nike Retailers.
