It was only a day ago that we showed you a preview of the Chuck Taylors created by Lupe Fiasco and Converse for (Product)RED. Today we want to highlight the work between Converse and LA’s UNDFTD. Yet again the classic Converse Chucks have evolved, this time however there is an deeper, underlying message - “No Raw Dogs” a play on words used to promote clean feet and safe sex. The imagery used on the shoe is one that elicits a grotesque emotion, one that we should naturally feel when we dont strap on protection before sex. Sweaty, bumpy, sore feet from the lack of wearing a sock also paralleled by viral infections and diseases contracted through unsafe sex. A true lesson we should all take to heart, you can never be too safe. The Converse Chucks will drop this April 5th locally and online at UNDFTD.
Chuck Taylor All Star Zipper Hi OX GOLD
Trends come and go. A few seasons ago, multi colored - all over print designs were in, since then things have toned down and other details have taken over. The recent trend has been adding zippers onto shoes. Converse got on top of this trend by adding its own version of their classic Chuck Taylor All Star Highs with a zipper that flows around the inner edges of the shoe. Not only have they added the zipper but they made the All Star Highs into a neck breaking Metallic gold. As bling as the Chucks are, they’re only made to be release in Hong Kong.
