Air Jordan 7 Miró - Olympic Collection

Its not very often that new designs of the signature Air Jordan’s are followed with such an intricate inspiration. For the case of the Air Jordan 7 Miro edition, there is a bit more of a story to tell. The original assumption that these Air Jordan 7 were inspired by the Olympics is only half true. In fact the various colors and patterns on the Air Jordan 7 are inspired by famous Spanish painter and sculptor Joan Miró, whose life ended just a few months prior to Jordan and the Dream Team winning the Gold in ‘92. That Summer the Olympics were held in Barcelona, Spain - which was Miró’s hometown.
These Air Jordan 7 Miró Olympics will also be released at the special opening of Opiums new location in Barcelona. Presented to a select few invitees, these shoes will be the main attraction to the opening which will start at approximately 7:30 PM. Here are some shots of the Miró edition Air Jordan 7 with the last picture showcasing the shoes next to one of Joan Miró most famous sculpted paintings, the “Woman and Bird”

Definitely not the prettiest looking Jordan’s, these Air Jordan 7’s are part of the Olympic Celebration Pack. Still just a sample to the August release, we really hope they go back to the drawing board on this pair. Instead we think the black suede should be turned into a white full grain. Let us know what you think can be done to the shoe to make it work.

Air Jordan 6IX (6) Rings

Over Jordans basketball career, he accumulated a whopping 6 rings. Each coveted ring came from winning the championships 6 different times. Jordan Brand will be releasing a fusion type of shoe for this winter season to commemorate this amazing feat. The shoe will be similar to the Dub Zero’s and the Fusions - taking existing sneaker silhouettes and combining them together to produce an original shoe. This time Jordan Brand will take the Air Jordan 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, and 13 sneakers each of which Michael Jordan wore when he winning the NBA Championships. The Uppers resemble the Air Jordan XI, the sole like the Air Jordan XIII, with Air Jordan VI lacelocks, and Air Jordan VIII tongue as well as the Air Jordan XII lace sockets. There is no set date for the release of these unique sneakers but were thinking sometime early November.
Air Jordan XVI (16) / VII (7) Countdown Pack

Jordan Brands 5th Countdown Pack is well underway. The 5th installment of these special release will consist of the Jordan XVI (16) and the Jordan VII (7) which combined gives you the glorious number 23! This pack has been generating a lot of hype due to the possibilities of an Air Jordan VII (7) resembling the “Hare’s” that many Jordan heads covet. However not to take the attention away from the Air Jordan XVI (16), this will be the first time we get to see them “retro’d” since they were originally released.
