The Nike Star Classic was first introduced in 1974, back when Nike was formerly known as Blue Ribbon Sports. They served as basketball shoes at the time, but would be better categorized as a casual shoe according to modern day standards. Earlier this year, the Star Classics were released in Green, Purple, and Red colorways. This time around they’re released in Blue and Orange, one color shy of the rainbow spectrum.
