Air Jordan 5 (V) Force Fusion - Fire Red

Posted by: Staff on March 20th 2008

With the recent surge of Jordan Force Fusions, the Fire Red’s will finally hit the stores this June. The Jordan Fusions are a hybrid of the Air Jordan 5 combined with the Air Force 1 High Tops. The resulting shoe is something quite interesting. The Jordan 5 Force Fusion retain the same grid material on the side just like the Jordan 5’s. But like the Nike Air Force 1 Highs, it has the strap both ankle support and aesthetics. The Fire Red colorway has long been the most classic of all the Jordan signature shoes, with colors that match the Chicago Bulls. Chicagoans will surely appreciate this drop in June.

Staple Design was founded by Jeff Staple in 1997, and in the span of a little more than a decade, has become a powerhouse in the fast paced “streetwear” industry. An undeniable catalyst to their success was the conception of the Nike Dunk SB “Pigeon”. The shoes were limited to roughly 200 pairs, and were released exclusively in New York City causing a frenzy among sneaker fanatics. And as the saying goes, “History will repeat itself.”, expect a similar outcome when the New Balance 575 “Pigeon” release later this year. The 575’s will be in the same colorway, and will also feature the famous pigeon shit stain on the inner sole. No information on the release date is available yet, but we will definitely make it public when we find out.

Back in the day these were some of the hottest shoes on courts across the country. One of the original colorways was the black upper/ white sole/ blue ice bottoms. Its good to see Nike coming back with some of the classic retro Basketball Shoes, especially the Zoom Flight 96 that graced so many hardwood floors in the 90’s. The Nike Zoom Flight 96 shown here is a classic, and back for the 2008, time to lace up and suck up that arthritis.
